Desicorr® VpCI® is a specially designed pouch to protect products from moisture damage. While normal desiccant can be a good first step toward protection by absorbing insidious moisture, Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches go beyond by combining desiccant with Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor action for unparalleled protection.

Whether in storage or in transit, products in nearly every industry require protection from moisture. Mildew, mold, rust, and an overall decrease in product efficacy are all common effects of moisture, costing millions in returned or unusable products each year. Desicorr® VpCI® pouches help prevent damage by absorbing moisture.

Once installed inside the enclosure, the desiccant action reduces moisture, and the VpCI® forms a corrosion inhibiting layer on the metal surface for proactive protection. Together, these features can provide either a synergistic effect (as the desiccant gives the VpCI® free access to the metal surface without competition from moisture) or backup corrosion protection (if the desiccant is unable to keep up with humidity levels in extreme tropical conditions). Potential uses for Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches are as varied as the metal components in your own shipping or storage containers.

Desicorr® VpCI® pouches are constructed with breathable Dupont Tyvek on one side and clear film on the other, which allows visual confirmation when the desiccant is spent. Desicorr features yellow indicating gel, which turns green when pouch should be replaced.
