Cortec VpCI®S-10 F | Liquid Boiler Additive | 5 Gal
Cortec VpCI®S-10 F is effective against corrosion in the condensate line of boiler systems. Carbon dioxide is released when feed water containing carbonates and bicarbonates is heated. This carbon dioxide dissolves in water in the condensate line, forming corrosive carbonic acid. Cortec VpCI®S-10 F prevents the corrosive action of carbonic acid by neutralizing it as it forms.
Cortec VpCI®S-10 F, with its high volatility, is carried in the system along with carbon dioxide and steam and neutralizes the acid upon its formation.
Cortec VpCI®S-10 F is also available as a non-toxic "green" filming corrosion inhibitor for boiler condensate. This inhibitor is effective against corrosion caused by carbon dioxide and oxygen. Cortec VpCI®S-10 F is very useful in facilities where safety concerns limit the concentration of amines allowed in steam lines.
Non-toxic “green” filming corrosion inhibitor for boiler condensate. Effective against corrosion caused by carbon dioxide and oxygen. Excellent replacement for film forming amines (steam line).
Resistant to oxidation and has high salt tolerance. Outstanding film for persistency and stability in a wide temperature range.
Compatible with the majority of ingredients used in boiler and condensate line treatment programs.
Cortec is a world leader in rust and corrosion removal and protection. Cortec VpCI® products offer cost-effective and environmentally friendly corrosion protection solutions that are bio-degradable, self replenishing and provide multi-metal protection.
